terms
Terms.
last updated 1 October 2026
These are the terms for a website we build for you. They are short on purpose.
1. Who we are
You are agreeing with One Good Site, a sole trader business based in the UK. Our contact address is 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. Write to us at hello@onegoodsite.co.uk.
“We” means that person. “You” means the business we build the site for.
2. Who this is for
We sell to businesses. By saying yes you confirm you are ordering for your business and can agree on its behalf.
3. The free preview
Send us your business name or website and we aim to send you a private link within 24 hours. That is our target, not a condition of anything.
The preview is free and you owe nothing for it, whatever you decide. We build it from what your business has already published. If you say no, or we do not hear from you, we take the link down. We do not use your photos or wording anywhere else.
A preview is a sample. It is not a promise that we will build the site. That starts when you say yes and pay.
4. Saying yes
You say yes by replying to us. Email is fine. We then send you an invoice with a payment link. Our agreement starts when your payment reaches us.
5. Price and paying
- The price is AED 1,500 or GBP 299. Your invoice shows which. It is paid once, in full. There is no monthly fee.
- The price is fixed. It does not change with the number of hours it takes.
- Your invoice shows the total and any tax on it, before you pay.
- Pay only through the payment link on your invoice. We will never ask for card details by email or message.
- A domain, hosting you choose to buy and business email are paid to those providers, not to us. We tell you what each costs before you buy anything. We never buy anything on your behalf.
6. What is included
- Up to five pages, or one longer page if that suits your business better. Usually home, what you offer, about, where to find you, and contact.
- Copy written from your real details, and your own photos where you have them.
- A layout that works on a phone, a tablet and a computer.
- Links to your phone, WhatsApp, email, map, social accounts and your booking system, where you have them.
- Search basics: page titles and descriptions, and the sharing preview.
- Checks for speed, readability and broken links before it goes live.
- Connecting the site to one domain that you own.
- One round of changes (section 8).
- The source files and short handover notes.
7. What is not included
- Booking, membership, payment or shop software, or anything that needs custom programming.
- Photography, video, a logo or a full brand identity.
- Translation.
- Ongoing edits, hosting management, advertising or search campaigns.
- Unlimited changes.
- Claims, reviews, prices or timetables we cannot check. We do not publish what we cannot verify.
If you want something on this list, tell us. We either quote it separately or say no. You are never charged for it without agreeing first.
8. Changes
One round of changes, up to 10 (wording, photos, colours, contact details). New pages or features are quoted separately.
Send your changes as one list, from one named person. We make them together and show you the result. Fixing something we got wrong, such as our own typo or a broken link, does not count towards the 10.
9. What we need from you
- True facts about your business. You are responsible for what your site says about you.
- Photos, logos and text that you have the right to use. Tell us if you are not sure.
- Access to your domain, or the name of whoever holds it.
- Answers in a reasonable time. If we are waiting on you, our dates move by the same amount.
10. Going live
When we have everything on our list, we tell you the date the site will go live. We aim to be live within 14 days of that.
If we are not live within 14 days of having everything we asked for, you can cancel and we refund you in full. See the refund page.
11. After it is live
If something we built does not work as we described, tell us within 30 days of going live and we fix it at no charge. This is separate from your changes.
We put your site live on hosting we run, at no charge to you. Your domain stays in your name, in your account. You can ask us at any time to move the site to your own hosting, and we will send everything you need within 7 days. If we ever stop hosting sites, we give you at least 60 days' written notice first.
12. Who owns what
- What you give us stays yours: your name, logo, photos, text and domain.
- Once you have paid in full, the finished site and its source files are yours to keep and use, including the pages and copy we wrote for you.
- Some parts stay under their own licences, such as open-source code and fonts. They are free for you to use on your site. Images we generate are marked as illustrative and are yours to use as part of the site.
- We keep our own tools, methods and know-how.
- We will not show your site as our work, or use your name, without your written OK.
13. Our responsibility
We build the site with reasonable skill and care.
We are not responsible for services we do not run, such as your domain provider, your booking system or a hosting outage outside our control.
We are not responsible for lost sales, bookings or profit. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us.
None of this limits anything the law does not allow us to limit, including responsibility for fraud, or for death or injury caused by our negligence.
14. Ending the agreement
You can end it at any time. What you get back depends on when, as set out on the refund page.
We can end it if you ask us to do something unlawful or abusive. We refund anything for work we have not delivered.
15. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can settle any dispute. If the law where you are gives you rights that cannot be waived, they still apply.
16. Changes to these terms
The terms in force on the day you say yes are the ones that apply to your site. We may change them for future customers.
17. Questions
hello@onegoodsite.co.uk. We reply the same day.
